With Quantum Revolution 2.0 in mind, we founded Qutess Lab to contribute to the rapidly evolving field of quantum science and develop transformative technology for humanity. Our mission is to advance science and technology for societal welfare, with a strong focus on quantum research and its applications in space sciences. The activities include development of quantum science and technology products; pushing forth technological horizons through research and training; promoting science and technology through mass communication using visual, print, and social media. It will also include the use of science and technology in education, space exploration, and health. Keeping its goal as the promotion of science and technology, company activities can involve trading of technology products not available in the country.
Mentor & Co - Founder
R.P. Singh, a quantum optics expert with 30+ years of experience, has worked at JNU, IISc, Hyderabad University, and PRL Ahmedabad since 1996. He has supervised 15+ PhD students, published 100+ papers, led a top experimental program at PRL, and advises government committees on quantum communication. He has been a mentor to the company since its inception.

Neelam Singh is a masters in English with a keen interest in literature and educator by profession. She is the force behind incorporation of the company as she believes that the research being done with public money at various institutions must reach to the public in the form of a product instead of just being a piece of publication with no benefit to the public at large.

Hari Shahi is a results-driven business consultant with expertise in branding and distribution across finance, insurance, FMCG, healthcare, hospitality, and technology. He excels in identifying growth opportunities and driving strategic change. A skilled mentor and speaker, he inspires teams and shares insights on various platforms.

Pravin earned his PhD from PRL Ahmedabad under Prof. R.P. Singh in 2012. He pursued postdoctoral research at Laval University, Canada (2013–2015), the University of Notre Dame, USA (2015–2016), and Albert Ludwigs University, Germany (2016–2018). Returning to India in 2018, he worked as a visiting scientist at TIFR Mumbai (2018–2021) before freelancing in optics.

Utpal Shah is a Director at Shah Investor's Home Ltd Group, where he has served for over 16 years, managing compliance, financial planning, portfolio advisory, and derivatives strategies. Before this, he spent nine years in Intel’s microprocessor design group in the USA. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Mayur recently graduated from the University of Mumbai with a degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. He has strong passion for electronics and telecom systems, with hands-on experience in the Project on Smart Parking System using IoT (for which he secured 3rd place in an inter-college paper presentation titled Book My Slot).
Research Scientist
Saksham holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has worked across leading Indian research institutions such as IISc Bangalore, TIFR Mumbai, and LightSpeed Photonics. His experience spans terahertz metasurfaces, photonic integrated circuits, and FPGA-based optical systems.
Research Scientist
Shreya graduated with a Bachelor’s of Technology in Avionics from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Before joining Qutess, she worked as a Scientist at the Physical Research Laboratory for 3.5 years. She likes to create and design things, apart from tooling with electronics.
